Literacy – From Monday to Wednesday we practice SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) skills. On Thursday we apply the skills we have learnt to an extended piece of writing (sometimes a story or poem). We are trying especially hard to practice using a range of punctuation and vary our sentence structure:
Numeracy – From Monday to Wednesday we practice our numeracy skills (focus this term: averages, coordinates, division, multiplication) to be applied in a problem solving task on Friday. This helps us use what we have learnt during the week in a challenging situation.
Our International Primary Curriculum topic for the spring term is “Artists’ Impressions of the World”. We are learning how artists from different points in time and from all over the planet saw the world differently. We will also be creating art in the style of these artists.
Science – Forces.
RE – Buddhism.
ICT and PE are on Wednesday.
Spanish is on Thursday.
Music is on Friday.
We welcome parents to join us in class after their parent mornings as well as on trips. Our next class assembly will be on 9th March 2015 at 10:45am.
