Welcome to Ireland Class

I am Miss Ghanima, the class teacher of Ireland and I am supported by Miss Alabi our Teaching assistant and Mrs Hafesji our Nursery officer.  Our vision is the same for the 30 wonderful children in our class, each child takes small steps to make a big difference in their personal learning journey.

EYFS Curriculum

We follow the early years curriculum which consists of 7 areas of learning which are:

  • communication and language.
  • physical development.
  • personal, social and emotional development.
  • literacy.
  • mathematics.
  • understanding the world.
  • expressive arts and design.

At the end of the year children will be assessed against the Early learning goals to identify whether they are emerging, expected or exceeding in each area of learning.

Parents can continue to support their children at home by using the reading egg website. Please let me know if you need log in details for your child.

Practise reading, writing and using the Reception high frequency words in sentences. I cannot stress enough how important it is that you let your child write independently, as we learn best through making mistakes.

Forest School

We are really enjoying Forest school on Friday afternoons between 1-3pm. We can only continue our Forest adventures with parent support. Ask any of the parents that have been and they will tell you how much fun we have had making villages for the little people, hugging trees, jumping in muddy puddles, climbing trees, telling stories and much much more. So please let me know which week you are able to support us.
