In Year 1 we aim to offer your child a stimulating, high quality education which builds on the knowledge and skills that they have already acquired.

The children are now completely settled into Year 1 and they are all working well.  It would be of great benefit to your children if you could support them by asking them what they have been doing at and letting them get involved in practical tasks at home, such as solving problems and finding solutions.  There are lots of maths that you can do at home, telling number stories, counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s, recognising and writing numbers, telling the time and looking at money together.

Dolores Wilkinson

Dolores Wilkinson, Year 1 Bangladesh Class Teacher

Dolores comes from a famous family. Her brother Johnny rose to fame after kicking the winning conversion for England in the 2003 Rugby World Cup (much to Mr. Davis' disgust). Apart from playing rugby as a child, she grew to love weightlifting. After retiring from the pro circuit, she has used her strength in educating children.
