General Class Information

Homework is set on a Friday and must be handed in by the following Wednesday. Spellings are given on a Friday and the children will be tested on the following Thursday morning. We believe homework is a very important part of your child’s learning and the more support you can give them the quicker they can progress.

Nigeria Class have P.E. on Friday afternoons, however the P.E. kit needs to be brought in on Monday and kept in school until the end of the week in case the timetable changes.

Please support your child as much as you can with remembering to wear the correct uniform and bring what they need to school. I hugely appreciate all the support you give and if you ever wish to contact me for any reason, I am more than happy to help in any way. Please email me JZvimba@northwold.hackney.sch.uk if you have any questions or concerns.

For our daily Maths and English lessons follow the National Curriculum. Monday to Wednesday, we teach spelling, punctuation and grammar based lessons. On Thursday we have an extended writing session. On Friday children are given maths challenges and we teach them methods based upon Singapore maths.

Our PE lessons are taught by Miss Artlett, ICT lessons are taught by Mr Braune and music lessons are taught by Mr Louw.

Our RE topics cover the six major religions and a trip to a significant place of worship.
