Year 4 is a pivotal year for primary school pupils as the classwork and homework become more intensive on their journey to year 6 SATS. This will be an exciting year in which pupil progress will be celebrated, and the children will be given the opportunity to develop their talents to their full potential individually and collectively. If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.

- We must respect, cherish and not damage any school property
- We follow a ‘whispering-only’ policy to ensure that noise levels are at a minimum.
The Science topic this term is Living Things and Habitats, in which the children will be studying how animals adapt to their environment and how they are categorised e.g. mammals, vertebrates or invertebrates etc.
The IPC topic is on Rainforest, in which the children will be studying the effects of deforestation, where rainforests are located on a global map, the conditions, climate, tribes and animals that live in a rainforest.
Homework will be handed out on Fridays and must be returned on Tuesdays. It is important that homework is fully completed before the deadline.
P.E. kits are to be brought to school on Mondays and taken home on Fridays. P.E. is a compulsory lesson as part of pupils’ holistic experience.
As part of the children’s learning, they will be going on school trips! Parents are welcome to attend but should give early notice.
These are held between 8.30-8.45am to discuss your child’s success. If unable to attend, please inform me and I will reschedule your appointment.
